2020 Brings not only a new year and a new decade, it also marks the 10th anniversary of Ypsilon Dresses! We have LOVED spending the last ten years helping our clients find not only their dream dresses, but their style and their confidence. 

Over the past ten years, we have experienced so much learning, growth, while having fun along the way. Let’s look back over some of the best times this last decade has brought us:

Our Story began in 2010

In January 2010 Andrea and her family became the new owners of Ypsilon Dresses. Ypsilon had been a boutique in Utah since 1985, holding a long standing tradition of excellence. The company was developed and refined into the Ypsilon Dresses you see today. We pride ourselves on providing top quality customer service, experiences and memories for each and every client who walks through our doors. We want to thank you for supporting our small business and join us in celebrating our decade with Ypsilon Dresses! 

Upgrading Store Location in 2015 

Our biggest transition to date was moving store locations from Trolley Square to our current location in Midvale in 2015. The new store has so much more space for inventory and more fitting room which has allowed us to bring in more dresses and more designers.

Getting to know our clients

The entire reason we get to do what we love is YOU, our clients. It’s been amazing to see our clients grow from their first high school dance to their final senior prom. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing  a young woman grow into her style, and become more confident and more beautiful with each appointment. We would like to thank our clients for our 4.8 star standing on google with close to 800 Reviews! Thank you for taking the time to express how you felt about our staff, the appointment concept and our product selection. 

Fashion Shows!

Is there anything more fun than a fashion show? We doubt it. Each fashion show has brought us new ideas, we’ve met more clients and industry experts, and have shown off the newest styles that have come into the store. 

Photo shoots!

We’ve had so much fun over the past ten years doing photoshoots in our dresses. We’ve worked with such amazing people on these projects, the amount of talent we’ve gotten to see is astounding. Working with photographers, models, makeup artists, hair stylists, and so many others has inspired us so much to keep doing what we’re doing, and to try to get a little better at it each day.

Working with talented Designers, such as Sherri Hill 

We’ve had incredible opportunities to find and work with the best designers across the country. Our buying team works hard to stay on top of the trends, and we’ve even been fortunate enough to have custom dresses designed just for Ypsilon by renowned designers like Sherri Hill.  

Attending NYFW

Ypsilon Dresses has had the opportunity to watch runway shows at New York Fashion Week! In 2017 our staff and VIP clients (including one lucky contest winner) were able to travel to New York City for NYFW. 

Semi-Formal Options

As we’ve gotten to know our clients, we’ve been able to see what they like, what they’re looking for, and bring it into our store. We now offer semi-formal styles for occasions such as: sweethearts, parties, and graduation. Click here to see some of latest arrivals! 

Expanding our Prom Selection 

We are the largest Prom Dress store in the State of Utah. We have thousands of dresses in stock in various fabrics, necklines, and silhouettes. Our goal is to offer a large selection to each one of our clients. 

Our Pageant Clients 

We love working with pageant contestants. These women are some of the smartest, strongest, most hard-working and truly beautiful individuals you could ever meet. Working with them to find the dress that best shows who they are and what they stand for is such a huge honor. We have dressed many contestants on the national stage for Miss USA and Miss America pageants!

Ypsilon would not be the place it is today if it weren’t for our team. Working at Ypsilon is like a family, we love and support one another, and feed off of each other’s optimism, positivity, and creative energies.
